We all know that children grow quickly and that their speciality is growing out of the most expensive items such as walking boots and waterproof coats within weeks of you buying them! Kitting them out for Scouting activities can be costly but don’t panic: Mum of three (a Beaver, a Cub and a Scout) Catherine Millar has come up with a solution.
Catherine has kindly offered to run an equipment exchange to help everyone to keep the cost down.
So, if you have boots, waterproofs or Gang Show black outfits that are in reasonable condition, don’t throw them in the bin, give Catherine a call or a text and she will add them to her collection.
And when your child needs these items, don’t head for the shops without contacting Catherine first to check her stock. If she can, she will happily help in exchange for a donation to Group funds.
Good for your wallet and good for the environment. Everyone’s a winner!
