There won’t be many more of your weekend hours that we need to use and that means the shows are getting closer. This is the final update on the Gang Show things you need to know.
Break a leg everyone.

Break a leg everyone.
Things are hotting up and there are really only a few weeks until the curtain goes up. We pretty much sell out every performance every time we put on a Gang Show so book early using this booking form to avoid disappointment.
This is just a post to provide a link to a copy of the Gang Show update letter you all received the first week back after the summer holidays. No excuse for not knowing what’s on and when.
Here is the item you need to download.
And if you plan to sleep over on September 28th then you need to get this permission form back into our hands by September 16th.
Beavers: 9.30am to 12.30am both days
Cubs, Scout and Explorers: 9.30am to 4pm both days.
We realise the children have lots of other things going on and may not be able to attend the whole weekend. These are just the core times and if you need to arrive late or leave early that’s not a problem. Please make sure you sign in and out so that we know who we have in the hall at any given time.
Bring a packed lunch. We will provide drinks and biscuits at regular intervals.
Please note that Beavers and Cubs will not be permitted to go to the village shop unless accompanied by a leader/helper.
This is the one occasion when we do allow electronic games etc but please note that we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage.
Uniform is not required.
Scouts and Explorers have the option to sleep over in the hall. Please obtain a permission form from your leader. You will need the usual kit plus £5 for your evening meal….we’ll pop to the fish and chip shop!

2013 will be a Gang Show year………where does the time go!
Those of you whose children have been involved in shows before will know that this is a big commitment but a fantastic opportunity for the children to take part in something really special. We are one of only 2 Scout Groups in the County to offer this activity at Group level.
If your child is new to Scouting and you are not sure what a Gang Show is and you would like to know more you can type “Gang Show” into Google and you will find lots of info. We have DVDs of past shows which you are welcome to borrow to give you an idea of what it’s all about.
This is not only for those who have a talent for singing or dancing: there are opportunities for everyone to take part, build their confidence and have a lot of fun along the way!!
In order to help you plan ahead here are the dates of rehearsals and performances for the coming year. Details of times and of opportunities to sleep over etc will be available nearer the time.
Of course we realise that the children do other activities and may not be able to attend every rehearsal. That is why we have lots! There will also be some rehearsals during section meetings.
It would be helpful if each child could have black trousers, black long sleeved top, black pumps and a white shirt. If you don’t feel able to provide these items please get in touch.
